Recorded on Nov. 2, 1985, less than a month after the death of Orson Welles, this two-hour video is called Remembering Orson. It was given to family members and attendees of the memorial. Until now, it has never been seen by the public.
Participating in the memorial are actors or directors Peter Bogdanovich, Charlton Heston, Janet Leigh, Geraldine Fitzgerald, Norman Lloyd, Dan O'Herlihy and Robert Wise.
Also honoring Orson was Roger Hill, who taught the young Welles at the Todd School for Boys in Woodstock, Illinois; Greg Garrison, a television producer who lured Welles back to the United States after exile in Europe; Barbara Leaming, Welles' biographer; and Patrick Terrail, proprietor of Ma Maison, Welles' favorite restaurant.
